OUR FOCUS AREAS
We focus on systemic improvements that drive opportunity at the intersection of education, economic, and community well-being. We bring decades of experience working on these issues as providers of youth and adult programs, as local and state system leaders, and as researchers and policy advocates.

Education and Youth Programming: This area focuses on P-20 education, ensuring equitable learning opportunities and support systems from early childhood through postsecondary education and career pathways. Our work spans research, policy, and practice, as well as direct service programs with youth, to drive meaningful change. We address key challenges such as educator shortages, school improvement, and access to equitable and excellent learning opportunities to create stronger, more inclusive education systems that prepare young people for lifelong success.
Community Well-Being: Strong communities thrive when people have access to the resources and support they need to live healthy, secure, and fulfilling lives. Community well-being is shaped by economic stability, social connections, and access to equitable services like quality healthcare, mental health support, safe and affordable housing, food security, and public safety. By understanding the outcomes of different groups, we can identify solutions that strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and ensure that everyone has the chance to live, work, and grow with dignity.
Economic and Workforce Development: This area focuses on creating pathways for financial stability and economic mobility through job training, entrepreneurship support, small business development, and career readiness programs. It includes initiatives that connect individuals—particularly those from underrepresented communities—to sustainable careers, upskilling opportunities, and access to good jobs. The goal is to ensure people have the tools and resources to achieve long-term financial independence and secure family-sustaining wages.
